New Torex Junior Cough Syrup



Composition:
Each 5ml contains:
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide                    
I.P.                    
  10 mg
Chlorpheniramine Maleate
I.P.
   2 mg
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride
I.P.
   5 mg
In a flavoured syrup base

Mechanism Of Action:
Dextromethorphan suppresses cough by central action on cough center in medulla. Phenylephrine stimulates postsynaptic alpha-receptors, resulting in vasoconstriction, which reduces nasal congestion. Chlorpheniramine competitively antagonizes histamine at H1 receptor sites.
 
Indications:
Complete relief of coughs and upper respiratory tract symptoms, including nasal congestion, associated with allergy or common cold.
 
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of product; severe hypertension; ventricular tachycardia; severe coronary artery disease; narrow-angle glaucoma; urinary retention; peptic ulcer; emphysema; chronic bronchitis; as treatment for lower respiratory tract conditions including asthma; during an asthma attack; if having a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug; newborns or premature infants; breast-feeding women.
 
Side Effects:
Blurred vision; dry mouth; nausea, stomach pain, constipation; skin rash or itching. Serious side effects can be fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat; confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior; severe dizziness, anxiety, restless feeling, or nervousness.
 
Warnings
Do not exceed recommended dosage.

Store in cool and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight. Recap the bottle tightly after use.
