Descriptions:
Phenylephrine is a selective adrenergic receptor agonist used primarily as a decongestant, Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine.
Mechanism Of Action:
Phenylephrine decreases nasal congestion by acting on adrenergic receptors in the arterioles of the nasal mucosa to produce constriction; this leads to decreased edema and increased drainage of the sinus cavities. Chlorpheniramine competitively antagonizes histamine at H1 receptor sites.
Indications:
Nasal congestion, runny nose, Itching of the nose or throat, Itchy watery eyes.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this product.
Side Effects:
Skin rash, swelling of face, blurred vision, dry mouth, nausea.
Dosage:
As directed by the physician.
Warnings:
Do not exceed recommended dosage.
