Description:
Torex pain relief capsules is a combination of Diclofenac, a phenylacetic acid derivative and Nimesulide which is chemically 4-Nitro-2-phenoxymethane sulfonanilide. These act as anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Both belong to the category of Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Mechanism Of Action:
Nimesulide is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase which inhibits the synthesis of destructive prostaglandins but spares cytoprotective prostaglandins. Nimesulide appears to exert its effect also through a variety of other mechanisms which involves interference with the production of mediators other than prostaglandins such as enzymes, toxic oxygen derivatives, cytokines, platelet activating factor and histamine. Diclofenac inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by interfering with the action of pros-taglandin synthetase.
Indications:
Used to treat acute (short term) pain and inflammatory disorders.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, GI bleeding, active peptic ulcer disease; severe renal and heart failure; hepatic impairment or known liver disease; coagulation disorders; pregnancy; children less than 12 years old.
Side Effects:
Diarrhoea, vomiting, skin rash, pruritis, dizziness, bitterness in mouth.

As prescribed by the physician.

Store in a cool, dry & dark place. Keep all the medicines away from the children.
